Here in the middle of Alberta is the 10th (or 6th or 18th depending on the source - BIG, anyhow) largest mall in the world. They've got lots....

Lots of shops like we'd see in any other mall. Maybe just a few more of each kind. Like 108 clothing shops, 107 places to eat, 62 health & beauty care shops, 36 cell phone shops, and 6 department stores (like anchor stores in our malls). There were also several Apple stores selling i-everything. And one Microsoft store.

We read a question in one of the travel handouts on Edmonton: "What do people in Edmonton do in the winter at –40 degrees?"

Apparently they go to the beach at the mall! Tsunami pool, water slides, and zip lines.
Or maybe go round and round upside down and backward in the beastly rollercoasters. There are many other tamer rides in the in-mall amusement park, Galaxyland.
18 holes of miniature golf?
A bit of ice-skating?
Window shopping?
A snack?
Or just hike the mall. Our trek today was 3.4 miles up the mall and back.
