HELPING SOLVE THE HOMELESS CRISIS FOR GNOMES

Last year we had the pine tree in the front yard taken down.
(Not the fir tree that later fell on the garage in February!  Ha - had we known....)

The tree-fallers left us a stump in a shape that would lend itself to making a Gnome House. After all, we heard there were homeless gnomes, too.

We finally got the required permits, materials and time to construct said gnome house,
and quickly found a tenant for it.
.
He seems a nice enough fellow and enjoys the Seattle Seahawks (we thought), as we do.
.
We were a bit anxious about his affinity for magic mushrooms, tho.

We provided a satellite dish, so the fellow could watch the games.

Alas, even though he said he was a "12" (Seahawk fan),
we got reports that there were raucous parties being held on the weekends
.
We found then that he had sublet the bird house to a Patriot blue bird
who had brought his friend along: a cardinal from St Louis.
Not acceptable.

.
We attempted to discuss this with Mr. Gnome,
but he rather bluntly told us which side of the field he and his friends were on.
.
Harrumph!  Our Seahawks will show them!
.
Sheesh!

Car Show Winner

After many years of getting many compliments on the original condition of the "old
yellow truck", Dean found time to enter the truck in the Elks Car Show.
.
.
.
From hearses to Corvettes to VWs, there were 150 cars displayed in various condition. We and many other folk walked around admiring the vehicles.

But surprised as heck, Dean won 1st place in his class:  Post '60 Stock Truck

What fun!
