MARCH HIGHLIGHT - WE'RE INOCULATED!

Mesa still seem to be in the middle of winter.  Forget about snow but we've had overnight freezes and many days with blowing dust winds with tiny added dribbles to allow the sides and windows and roofs of cars and RVs to truly need another wash.  This month we've had a few days in the 80's and one day at 90.  Before the normal temperatures are in the 90's and 100's, we will be out of here.

Very lucky people we are.  Managed to find a vaccine appointment online after many tries with no success.   And Phew!  Our anxiety level is way down after we each got 2 shots.  We've felt more free to be among folk.  Less travel in the drive-thru lines at McD's.  Even visited a few restaurants with outdoor seating - very satisfying.  And a few meals indoors when outdoor seating was full (we still aren't comfortable inside).  We've even made some long drives (very socially responsible) to explore towns and meet with friends as far away as Tucson.

Dean, the Garden Railroad gandy dancer, has added engineering (aka Train Driver) on his slate of RR duties.  Mostly this is due to the Covid isolation and Canadian closed borders that we are missing so many RR club members.  Occasionally,  Dean is able to keep two trains on their tracks at one time!  His normal gandy dancer activities includes sweeping tracks of dirt and dust and wiping dust off houses, vehicles, and RR switches.

Trader Joe's is selling them as "Small Bananas"....yeah, right.

Always looking for cotton candy - now a new avenue - yum 

Despite the coolish weather, here come the blooms!

The hummer feeder has finches and the fountain has pigeons.  

Nobody is using the water dish on the ground.

And, finally, at the door of the RV where coats, badges, shoes reside, there is now hooks to hold masks.  The days of the plague are still surround us.
