My friends have listened to my endless lament about wanting to have deer visit our home. After all, they have been visiting our old home, a 1/4 mile away, for several years.
.
.
I was so excited last week when I saw a doe walk down our driveway. Didn't have time to get a picture.
But yesterday I find I can complain no more. We had deer at the neighbors eating apples off their tree and then they crossed the driveway and hopped over the fence to visit.
.
The visit included raiding the bird feeders and eating my flowers.
.
Dean, aka Mr. Bird Feeder, has been wondering why the feeders are completely empty in the morning but no sign of big birds or raccoons or ? Now he knows.
I admit to a small pang when one of the deer went to the blooming garden and started chomping on the blooms but this is what I've always said I wanted.
