Rain Boots in Mesa

Much of early January was a continuation of Laurie’s “adventure with her “stork” --- (her brain would not let her say the word “stroke”, so we went along with stork” and “chiropractor” instead of “cardiologist”.) Over the first few days, she managed to get them straight. But then began the search for a second opinion regarding what had really occurred to her. The hospital reports were not clear as to why an MRI was not immediately scheduled --- everybody who looked at her said “stroke”. Yet, the MRI was not done until the fourth day, and reported “no evidence of clots, tears or little white dots. So, was there a stroke at all?

Still looking for a cardiologist.  My friend from Yuma gave me a name and I now have an appointment for February.  She has very good reviews.  I've had no luck finding any other cardiologists.

The medications I was sent home from the hospital have caused some unhappy results.  Like elephant leg edema.

For the most part I can say stroke and cardiologist now.  Still problems with carrying on a conversation.

The railroad has so many helpers / engineers now and many home builders really looking put together.  With so many helping, the RR is running engines for the happiness of others 5 days a week.  Even the bunny is happy

The weather hasn't been good.  Major rain and cool temperatures.  No shorts yet.

Meanwhile, we tried to assume our “normal” life at our usual Mesa RV resort. Laurie took a couple of craft courses, Dean played train at the park’s 4000-foot “G-scale” rail layout, we took in a couple of movies with Mesa friends, and did some normal shopping.
