We made a stop off at Pine Island west of Ft Myers to visit friends, Terry and Shad, who made us feel quite welcome.
Shad took us on an area boat tour where we got to explore canals, mangroves, and look at hurricance damage. The depth in the bay was no more than six feet. Kind of a strange experience after boating in Puget Sound.
We all enjoyed the hospitality of the local Elks with dinners and entertainment.
