Miscalculation

Enjoyed exploring White Tank Mountain County Park. Tanks being areas in the mountains that hold water for a while after desert rains. Valuable source for humans and animals. The rock in this mountain is light gray - "white". Hence White Tank. We walked a couple trails to areas with numerous petroglyphs. One area is called Petroglyph Plaza as there were so many at that spot.

One morning we were thrilled to see a hot air balloon high in the sky coming our direction. A glance a few minutes later and the balloon was low - really low! Behind the trees and cactus from us. The pilot had run out of propane for his burner and down he came amongst the briars brambles and prickly cacti. Weren't able to find out how he was able to get the balloon out of that situation as there were no roads nearby. Wonder how many punctures that balloon has now!
