Everywhere we looked there was someone working on something. Much of the progress this week was in the crawlspace or on the roof or in the soffits. These folks disappeared for hours!
Looks nice. Lucky for us (???) the rain kept up and we found two drips around the vent pipe shrouds. Got that fixed first thing on Monday morning.
A partially installed furnace required duct work, holes in the floor, a cut joist, and insulated and sheetrocked walls in the furnace area. Also added were insulated ducts for all the floor heater vents, the cold air return, and all vent fans.
The plumber has been educating us in the new ways and the advantages of plumbing with PEX piping. Plus the shower and tub arrived. That was exciting watching them move the 36" shower through a 32" opening. They have had much practice managing that.
And the framer is still here (and still out in the rain). This week they closed in our soffits. Looks so nice. No wasps will live there!
And what do we do? Every evening we vacuum and sweep out the house. Dean has been adding cross-bracing for where overhead lights and fans go. We both have been marking the walls with orange flagging where we want a switch or a plug or a light.
On the schedule for next week: finish the plumbing, wire it up electrical, and build our kitchen bar. Painting could be done....when the rain stops!
Stay tuned!
