Dancing our way thru Maine we took a stop off at the home of sporting goods giant, L L Bean. This company almost takes over the little town of Freeport. They have 5 big buildings and their main offices here. The other merchants, not to be outdone, have converted many old buidings and homes into outlets, galleries, and "shoppes". We were there on a mid-week afternoon and the parking lots were full and a goodly amount of traffic congestion. Glad we weren't there on a weekend!
