Serendipity! - Google Self-Driving Car Test Track

Stopping again at former Castle Air Base to take more airplane pictures at the air museum, we noticed an 8' sight-blocking fence across the street from where our RV was parked.  Well "sight blocking" is for people under 8' but not so for 12' high RV's.
.
From inside the RV, we were able to see cute little white cars with black domes on top.

.
At first we wondered if they were the Google Street View cars but the dome on top is different.

We did a little Googling (ain't that appropriate!) and found that this facility is called a  Google Self-Driving Car (SDV) Test Center.
.
From our vantage point we could see a SDV travel through a traffic circle,

several stop lights,

stop signs,

and around a bicyclist.

A bit of congestion: 2 SDC's, a bicyclist, and another driver
I'm looking forward to the day that I can have one of those cute little cars doing the driving for me.

In my research, two recent articles were full of juicy details.  The 2nd article even has the RV park in the background of one of the pictures.
