And how we spent the first night of our vacation

6 of the 8 Rental RV's in the lot - all doing the same thing

We got a kick seeing all these RV rentals pull into the WalMart lot.  We did fully expect them to spend their first night there, but not so.  This is how it's done: the renters fly into Missoula and pick up the RV and THEN they go to WalMart and buy linens and food.  Long day for momma.  By the time everything is purchased, the beds made, and clothes and food stowed, it's getting pretty close to 6pm.  For us, it would be a no-brainer: we'd stay right where we were.  But these people have a time constraint so they need to make every minute count.   Wonder how far they traveled after they left here.

BTW this was our 63rd night out and our first WalMart night.

This WalMart has "No Overnight Parking" signs posted several places through their lot but, as Dean says, it doesn't hurt to ask.  Customer Service said "No Problem – we had to put these signs up because the KOA complained.  We have no problem if you stay a week."  Of course, we spent more than we would have at the KOA - $120 restocking our food stuffs.
