Home!

Home!  Home!  Home!  Everything is so green...especially the weeds!
Between showers the sun has shown
and, no, Miss Lily has not expired....she's just tanning her belly.
.
It took us 15 days 2 hrs, 1844 miles to get from Omaha to home. Streets & Trips had estimated 3 days 47 minutes and 1719 miles.  We had thought we'd drive many more miles by touring through the Tetons & Yellowstone but they were still having winter storms and we wanted to stay away from that.  Basically we had good driving weather coming home and traveled I-90 (so unlike us).  We were chased out of Wyoming by snow showers and welcomed to Washington by rain (as is to be expected).
.
We are thankful that in our 5 1/2 weeks of touring in Tornado Alley that we didn't get inundated by hail or twirled by a twister.  Just a few lightning storms.  And certainly nothing like the hail storm in Oklahoma City on Sunday as shown in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OFv2W7Duqiw  (it really gets exciting about a minute into the storm!).
