Geocaching through Alamogordo and way off the beaten track we came upon Kitty City. 
What a delight - what caring folks! 
A temporary home and adoption agency for felines. They had several screened rooms with views of bird baths and an iron bunny. Climbing areas. Some areas in the sun. Numerous perches. What a cacophony of meows as we came by to scratch their ears.
