Telegraph Harbor / Thetis Island & Kuper Island

Thetis Island almost joins Kuper Island, separated only by a narrow "boat passage" which goes dry at low tide. Rocks and more rocks. Gulf Island rocky.

We've never been been to Telegraph Harbor marinas in the summer time. Lots of activities and cruising groups traveling through.

While we were there a group from Del Mar Yacht Club of Los Angeles were there with about 8 ocean-going motor cruisers.

The store at this marina is known for their ice cream cones and banana splits (which we managed to resist.)

As we came close to Thetis, paying attention to rocks and reefs, we saw an airplane on the shore.

A big airplane. Actually, an intact Boeing 737 that is being stripped and readied to be sunk in October as an artifical reef for divers off the town of Chemainus.
