South Sound

We had some wonderful sunny days while cruising in South Sound. We used the rest of summer up. (The rains came 3 days after we got home.)

We stopped overnight stop at the city dock in Gig Harbor. Wanted to see the damage from the marina which burned at the end of August. Nothing left. The environmental cleanup folks were cleaning their ecology booms and ready to leave the area. Could see a few inflatable boats at the neighboring marina that had blown up their tubes from the heat.

As we headed further south, we timed it under the Narrows Bridge having a 4.5 knot current helping us along. Almost like free gas.

Much progress being made on the new bridge.
