This is Gaffney, South Carolina's million gallon water tank which was built in the early 1980's.
The story goes that their public works department was working way too late one night trying to figure out how to pay for a necessary new water tank and came up with this idea. Best news of all: the local tourism bureaus paid for most of it! And,yes, they do grow peaches here - in fact South Carolina grows more than Georgia, they say.
There are now two Peachoids. Another in Alabama. Maybe we'll pass near it later on.
