We've been out on the road almost a week.
Spent 4 days in Puyallup visiting with family and friends. Then a stop in Kelso before getting here in Seaside, Oregon where we will stay 5 days and enjoy Christmas. It's so relaxing here in this quiet little town. Weather has warmed up to mid-50's. After we had temps in the 20's in Puyallup, this is really nice. Of course the trade-off is rain (lots of it) and high winds escorting the winter storm in. We are cozy.
We've got our RV-sized Christmas trim up. Miniature lighted Christmas trees, garland and lights. Christmas cards festooned along the slide-out. Santa hung over the driver's seat waving to those outside. Red and green cloths on the tables. And mini ornaments "glued" down on any flat surface. We enjoy the quiet time of Christmas. Time to reflect on our lives, family, and friends and feel good that all is well.
Tomorrow is field-trip day. Breakfast at Pig and Pancake, then off to the Lewis & Clark National Park to check out on the fort rebuild progress, then to Astoria to check out downtown stores for Christmas gifts for each other. Oh, yes, Dean won't let us get home without picking up a prime rib roast (his choice for Christmas dinner). Fun!
